Fragments of My Life

My cooking journey began when I started to miss my hometown food. I enjoy cooking! I came to the US alone when I was 15 and lived in Yakima with a host family. I cooked for myself and my host family during that time. As time passed, my cooking skills improved, and I started to enjoy cooking! Now, I am well known to my friends as "Chef Karina."

I love to travel! Besides the landmarks, I like to explore the authentic lifestyle and taste their food. The museums are the first stop on my tour; local museums represent a place's culture and civilization. 
By the way, I love amusement parks! Disney is my favorite place to visit! 

Solving mysteries is one of my passion. I grew up watching detective shows and wanted to be like one. Puzzles, mystery books, and TV shows filled my life.

Origami was my initiation into crafts. One time I couldn't find Christmas ornaments, so I decorated my small Christmas tree with origami! 

In 2016, I saved a stray cat in a parking lot in China; she was precious to me. Unfortunately, I couldn't take her to New York with me, and she ran away from my home a month after I went to college. I was devastated, and I deeply missed her. I will always be my little precious. 

Tangy and I started living together since 2021, and she is a bit of a picky eater, but when I see her sweet face, I forgive her immediately.
